For the Fall we will be volunteering in our local community with Intown Food Pantry (several Saturdays 9am-1pm), working with local churches on Habitat Builds, and partnering with other organizations for other opportunities for local service.

FALL BREAK MISSION OPPORTUNITY Oct 7th-10th: We will be going to work with Alabama Rural Alabama in Tuskegee, AL to help with Home Repair and to have a Civil Rights tour of the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery, AL. Details TBA and talk with a Mission Team member or staff person if you have any questions.

Over the past few years of Fall and ASP service trip to VASpring Break trips we’ve volunteered doing home repair with Appalachian Service Project in Virginia and Tennessee, Civil Rights Tour and Home repair in Tuskegee and Selma Alabama, tornado cleanup in Tuscaloosa Alabama, learned about sustainable International Mission work and Appropriate Technologies at Servants in Faith and  Technology, worked in South Carolina with the Catawba Indian Tribe fixing homes and cleaning cemeteries, and learned about poverty and civil rights in Selma and Tuskeegee Alabama.

refugee resettlementLOCALLY over the past few years we have volunteered with Action Ministries, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Volunteer Emory, Intown Collaborative Ministries, Project Open Hand, The Open Door Community, Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement program, MedShare, Ronald McDonald House, and other excellent non-profits in the Atlanta Metro Area.
